CYSTINURIA IN MASTIFFS
A problem that does occur in mastiffs.
- Here is a link to some information on the MCOA website. MCOA health page
- Another useful site is: www.caninecystinuria.com
Officially the MA recognises Cystinuria as a problem within the breed but to date knows very little about it's origins, how widespread it may be (cystinuria can lay undiscovered) or both the clinical affects and treatment. As such the MA has asked the Mastiff Health Concerns Working Party to collate any available data and initiate an investigation into the problem within the Mastiff breed. If you have any information regarding cystinuria in mastiffs please forward such data to the Mastiff Concerns Working Party (NOTE: This is not part of the MA) PYOMETRA
