Judge’s Report for Mastiffs

I enjoyed my day at Crufts very much.  It is always a pleasure to see a number of good dogs in one place.  Overall I think the dogs were in better shape than they have been in the recent past with less fat dogs.  On the whole movement has improved.  What did surprise me was the difference in the size of bone between exhibits.

I would like to thank the Committee of the Mastiff Association for the privilege of judging this event. Also to my very capable ring stewards and show manager who kept the event moving smoothly. And on a personal note, to all the committee and helpers behind the scenes  who I know worked so hard to make it an enjoyable day for us all.  Most of all, to the exhibitors for not only entering but for their sportsmanlike behaviour which, all in all, made for a most memorable and enjoyable experience.
