BREED SEMINAR FOR JUDGES - 2012
We are sorry that our planned seminar in 2011 was cancelled due to insufficient support and are using a new
format for 2012 which utilises other planned events.

Sunday 4th March 2012:- We were informed this morning of the death of Miss Marguerite E. Perrenoud (MEPS Mastiffs) after a short illness. Marguerite was well known in Mastiff circles for her strong views on many breed related issues and is best described as "once met, never forgotten". Although Marguerite had neither bred nor exhibited for many years, she was until quite recently in attendance at some Mastiff shows and had continued to judge the breed at championship level.
Funeral Arrangements: Friday 16th March, 12:35pm Hereford Crematorium, family flowers only but any donations to The British Heart Foundation will be gratefully accepted.

We were very sorry to learn of the premature death of Raymond Bradbury-Boatwright
(Glynpedr Mastiffs) who was well known as a very successful breeder, exhibitor and respected international championship show judge.

The BREED SEMINAR planned for Sunday 2nd October 2011 at The Kennel Club Building,
Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire has regrettably been CANCELLED.
From time to time we receive details from members and others who may be willing to offer a home to a Mastiff in need (not mastiff crossbreeds). Although following the closure of OEMC Mastiff Rescue and the introduction of its Rehoming Service (see www.mastiffclub.com) there is still a limited facility for offering a service, the M.A. will endeavour to put in touch anyone offering a home with those who are looking to rehome a genuine Mastiff. Currently we have TWO offers; one in north-west Scotland and one in Devon. In the first instance, enquirers should use the 'Contact Us' button to e-mail relevant details including a digital image.

Mrs Jean Jones
We were very sorry to hear of the recent death of Jean Jones who was a founder member of the M.A.
and its first Hon Secretary serving from 1984 until 1992.
Jean's funeral service was held at 12:00 noon on Thursday 1st April at Worcester Crematorium. and any donations in lieu of flowers should be made payable to Cancer Research UK (in memory of Jean Jones); and sent to A.V. Band (Funeral Directors), 41 St Nicholas Street, Worcester WR1 1UW
Great News - The KC's Good Citizen Dog Scheme Awards for 2009 - After two years with
a Second Place award, the M.A. was awarded 1ST PRIZE in its category at the awards ceremony
held at Clarges Street, London on Friday 12th February. Further details to follow.

On 8th December we received confirmation from the KC of the interim approved revised Breed Standard for Mastiffs which follows the M.A.'s submission in July 2008.
